About Us

Vending Enterprises started business in 1968 and was founded by Don and Maureen Payne. They saw an opportunity to supply milk vending machines in the Scunthorpe area, before starting to supply a wider range of vending machines and services. Throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s, the Company continued to expand, adding more customers and developing the site at Scunthorpe. As technology in vending machines continued to develop in the 1990’s and early 2000’s, Vending Enterprises made further additions to the Company and Geographical area, acquiring businesses in Grimsby and Grantham.

With Don and Maureen still in the business, the 2000’s were overseen by their Daughter Deborah and her Husband Andrew, who continued to take the business from Strength to Strength.

With an operating and service area stretching across Lincolnshire, East and South Yorkshire and the East Midlands, 2025 saw an exciting new chapter in the history of Vending Enterprises, with the sale of the Company to the Compass Group.

Becoming part of the Amplifi team of smart retail and vending solution businesses, we continue to develop opportunities for further growth, and as new technologies continue to emerge, the way we service our customers continues to become smarter, more data driven and utilises the experience of the fantastic team within the wider Compass Group.
